The wavy locks were replaced with hair gelled back, while a turquoise kurta with gold chikankari work took the place of denims and T-Shirt, as Ranveer Singh, the lead in Maneesh Sharma's "Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl" began with the Lucknow leg of the film yesterday.
Currently being shot in the bylanes of Lucknow's Chowk area, the film's four-day schedule will also include shooting outside the Bara Imambara. There was a buzz about Anushka Sharma, the female lead in the film also coming to town, but according to sources, she will not be shooting in Lucknow.
Accompanying Ranveer on the sets was Lucknow girl and actress Aditi Sharma, one of the ladies that Ricky Bahl encounters in the film. Aditi plays Saira in the movie, a Lucknow resident. Says a source on the sets, "Ricky Bahl is playing a conman who comes to Lucknow from Barabanki and his encounter with Saira is being shot in the marketplace here."
Chowk resident Ravindra Dayal's 110-year-old house has doubled up as Aditi Sharma's clothes' shop in the film.
