Amrita Rao ready to shut up her critics

Vivaah girl Amrita Rao, who has inspired the maverick painter M F Hussain with her sweet innocent looks, gets back at Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, who have been describing her as the 'most shabbily dressed new-age actress, who needs a makeover' on Karan Johar's chat show.

Ask her if it rankles to be slated thus, and she replies in her inimitable tongue-in-cheek manner: "I could say the same thing about these so-called actresses' acting acumen, but I won't! I feel style is something much personalised, and it should be in sync with your body structure, your skin type and your comfort zone. Just because gladiator shoes are in, everybody can't start flaunting those.

What if it affects your body language in a negative manner? And honestly speaking, I'm happy with my simple, sweet look. But, those who have dared to call me frumpy must check out my two distinct looks in my forthcoming film Love You Mr Kalakaar. I will make my critics eat a humble pie in my corporate gear as well as in my casual chic avatar in this movie."

Seeing that skin show and bold look are the new mantras of Bollywood, is she by any chance planning to take a plunge in these deep waters? "I'll do it when I feel like it, and not to prove a point to my detractors," says Amrita.
