Schwarzenegger to turn to writing after leaving office

WASHINGTON: Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has plans to become an author after leaving office in January.

The former Mr Universe and Hollywood action star has said he’ll turn to writing after he leaves office, penning "a book or two" after being chased by publishers for years, reports the Telegraph.

He said he had not done so before because he did not have the patience.

‘The Terminator’ star has long declined to confirm what he will do next, saying he wants to concentrate on the job until the end.

But this week he also provoked rumours of a return to Hollywood after posting a picture of himself with James Cameron.

Speaking on Twitter, he said he had ‘no idea’ if he would return to Hollywood, adding: ‘Depends if someone comes with a great script.’

If Schwarzenegger finalizes writing the book, he will be following his daughter into print, as Katherine, 20, published a book in September aimed at helping girls to gain confidence.
