Rakesh Roshan forced to wait for five years for his superstar son
Rakesh Roshan now 61 has been one of the most prolific and successful filmmakers in contemporary Bollywood. His list of hits include some huge successes like Karan Arjun, Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish, Khoon Bhari Maang and
Khudkarz. However since his son Hrithik made a splash as an actor in 2000 with Kaho Na pyaar hai...Rakesh has decided to direct only his son. After making super-duper hits with his son in KNPH, Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish(2006), Rakesh let Duggu(Hrithik) have his way
and allowed Anurag Basu to direct Kites(2010) for their home banner. Kites came unstuck and though Rakesh had indulged his son, he realised that he would soon have to pick up the pieces
of their home banner Filmkraft and make another film with Hrithik,'' say sources. Krrish-3 will start in 2011 end or early 2012 at Ramoji Film City Hyderabad. However Rakesh one of the biggest filmmakers of our time has lost five years waiting for his son! It is indeed a big sacrifice for a filmmaker. In a sense the filmmaker lost out to the father.
