Salman Khan red eye correction for Ready

Anees Bazmee resorts to patchwork re-shoot of Ready. Salman Khan's eye infection is prominent in the first trailer, making him look not so macho

Last year, in October, while the shoot of Ready was on, Salman Khan would mostly be seen wearing sunglasses. He was suffering from a prominent eye infection. But it seems hiding his red eyes under dark shades wasn't enough.

The first trailer of Ready is out. And the eye infection is pretty visible. This has caused an unexpected murmur of anxiety among the film's team who had not anticipated Salman's eye infection to show up so aggressively on screen. The scenes might be re-edited.

The Ready script instead provided Salman with spectacles for the first time. But the specs had to come off for the action sequences. Those are the scenes where the swollen eyes show up. Says a source, "Salman wears a chashma for the first time on screen.

The decision to empower his eyes with spectacles was taken during the time when Salman suffered the eye infection. But the specs came off for the high-powered action sequences."

The Ready team's concern is about Salman's legion of fans who may not react well to the swollen eyes. Says a source, "Salman's fans always like to see him looking his best. We never expected this eye trouble to show up on screen."

Plans are now afoot to re-edit some of the scenes where the angry pouches under the eyes are not discernible. There's also talk of some patchwork shooting to replace the close-ups showing up Salman's infected eyes.

Director Anees Bazmee doesn't deny that the eye factor does surface in the film. "Yes, we are doing some patchwork shooting. During the shooting Salman did have some problem with his eye. But we thought we had got around that problem.

The thing is, Salman can't be looking anything but his best. His fans won't tolerate it.

Its John or Rana, but Josh for Bipasha

Bipasha Basu spends some light moments with her co-star Josh Hartnett in Orchha, we get you the pictures and some juice

Mumbai Mirror had reported on Monday, April 11, 2010, how Bipasha Basu, a free bird after her break up with John Abraham, was being rather 'friendly' with Hollywood actor and her co-star Josh Hartnett on the sets of their period film Singularity. Now, we get you the evidence!

Our photographer Sachin Haralkar captured the two stars in Orchha chilling off the sets.

The actors looked comfortable in their refreshing summer attire taking a stroll down the hotel aisle.

Wearing a pair of hot-pants and a pale blue camisole, Bips looked casually sexy while Josh looked hot in a tee and shorts. However, what made the picture prettier was the smile on the actress' face.

Captured around two in the afternoon, this picture was taken from the hotel lobby by Haralkar, when the actors were walking down together to have lunch.

Bipasha, whose room was on the other side of the quadrangle (the aisle they are seen walking through surrounds the quadrangle) facing the pool, came out to meet the Pearl Harbor star putting up in a room facing hers. Finishing lunch in an hour, the actors then rushed off to the sets of their film.

About Singularity, the film

► It is an epic romance, time travel adventure starring Bipasha Basu as Maratha warrior Tulaja Naik. Josh Hartnett plays James Stewart, a British officer in 1780s India who falls desperately in love with Tulaja Naik, of course!

► Josh is also a rugged and attractive marine archaelogist (the film involves time travel as well, remember?).

► The film also stars Abhay Deol, Milind Gunaji and Atul Kulkarni among others.

► Directed by Roland Joffe, this epic drama which went on floors in October 2010, was earlier in works during the 1990s and was supposed to star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vivek Oberoi and Brendan Fraser.

Rani Mukerji's planning a big 'O'

Yeah, after playing Queen Bee for so many years, this beauty is planning to hit the 'O' spot. Well, O for Oprah, we mean (and what were you thinking, huh?).

She's quite a talker, and add to that her doses of natural Bong sweetness – makes her quite a conversationalist. At a recent event, Rani Mukerji confessed that she wanted to start her own talk show someday, a la Oprah Winfrey, and share people's experiences. Hmmm...interesting idea,

Rani, but we'd love to know if you're planning to make a few confessions yourself. Like the inevitable question about the 'knot'. Well, the show is all about baring your heart out, confessions et al. Starting with the host, of course.

Gerard is a friend Kangna

Hollywood actor, Gerard Butler has his eyes set on Indian shores.

Well, Indian beauties to be more precise. First he made news when he befriended Priyanka Chopra and then Udita Goswami. And now rumours are flying fast and furious about his special friendship with Kangna Ranaut.

Sometime back, he dropped in on the sets, while she was shooting in New York. Followed by media reports of their secret four-day getaway to an undisclosed location. Kangs was livid reading about yet another romantic link-up. "Yes, it's true, Gerard is a friend.

He dropped in on the sets to meet me when I was shooting in New York. But that's all there was. Other news reports about me going on a holiday with him are all rubbish," she clarified exclusively to zoOm.

Sonakshi hotter than Deepika

Sonakshi Sinha seems to be giving Deepika Padukone a run for her money...

If you thought her 'Thapad se nahin, pyar se darr lagta hai, sahab' dialogue in 'Dabangg' was too hot to handle, actress Sonakshi Sinha just proved that it can get hotter.

She has grooved to an item number 'Dance kar le English mein' which will be seen in the film 'Joker'. Chorepgraphed by Farah Khan, the unit members ensure us that there will be whistling and throwing of money by the first benchers in the theatre.

Compare her item number to Deepika Padukone's in 'Dum Maaro Dum' and everyone connected with Sonu's 'Dance kar le English mein' are more than ready to put money where their mouth is.

Sonakshi herself seems content with the way her dance has shaped up. She posted on her micro-blogging site: 'Joker update: dance karle english mein aur nach le tu hindi mein! filhaal yaha par toh hindi hi hindi mein naach rahe hain'.

Gaga to be remixed for Bollywood

Indian music composers Salim and Sulaiman added another feather in their cap by collaborating with Lady Gaga for one of her songs.

Exited about the new development in their career, Sulaiman said, "Lady Gaga's song - Born This Way, has been topping the charts in 23 countries around the world. However, when Gaga wanted to present it to the Indian and Asian music fans, she thought of giving it a Bollywood twist to increase the appeal.

Gaga is a huge fan of Indian music and Bollywood songs too."

Salim has also lent his voice to the new version where sounds from Indian instruments like sitar, dholak and dhol have been used. A source also revealed that while the American pop singer is highly impressed and excited about the Bollywood remix to her song, she is waiting for the feedback from listeners.

We hear that a very crucial decision will follow next.

"Lady Gaga is happy about the way the Bollywood remix of Born This Way has come out and she is waiting for reactions. If the response is positive, she plans to churn out an entire album of her songs with Bollywood remix version," the source disclosed.

Now, only time will tell if the audience hooked to Bollywood tracks goes gaga over Lady Gaga's Bollywood number!
